“Revenge Body” will be a 16 min Latin-fusion infused romantic dramedy musical that takes inspiration from the timeless “Sleepless in Seattle,” poised in the musical landscape of “An American in Paris” and utilises an asynchronous beat and quirkiness borrowed from “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.”​

 

We meet Pearl, late 30’s, who is recently heartbroken after her relationship with Patrick ends suddenly. With the help of IG pop psychologists and her best friend Annie, Pearl seeks a fitness outlet to recover from her heartbreak, finding the latin beats of DanceFit, where she meets the sexy latin lover-esque teacher, Diego.

 

As her heart begins to heal, Pearl makes some significant personal discoveries along the way all of which lead her to the darkened rooms of an underground EDM dance floor where she confronts her past and embraces her new, empowered future.

"Revenge Body" stars Diana Bang (The Interview, Resident Alien), Leysan Timirboulatova (One Baby, Please!), Spencer Lord (The Last of Us, Family Law), and Matheus Severo (Passiflora, The Midnight Club).  The cinematography was by the Emmy nominated C. Kim Miles ASC CSC MYSC and is produced by Adrian Neblett, Faly Mevamanana and myself.

Production was completed in the Spring of 2025 in Burnaby and Vancouver.
